1. What are the competing technologies?

Our core technology is embedded real-time communication over the Internet, supporting video and audio calls, voice messages, one-on-one and group push-to-talk (PTT) communication. It is also compatible with high-level systems such as Apple and Android. So far, we have not found any technology or competitor that offers a fully equivalent solution.

For example:

  1. Smartwatches are similar to smartphones and are usually based on high-end Android or Apple systems. Therefore, like smartphones and tablets that run on Android or Apple systems, they have fixed hardware and suffer from functional homogenization.

  2. Some wearable devices support real-time communication but rely on Bluetooth bridging via a smartphone, making them incapable of independent internet-based communication.

  3. Smart speakers and smart cameras, while part of the embedded systems category, mainly use general data transmission protocols and offer limited real-time communication capabilities.

  4. Internet-based two-way radios are typically developed using software packages provided by a few solution providers, with most implementations focusing only on push-to-talk functionality, lacking a broader range of real-time communication features.

In summary, our technology is unique in that it goes beyond the limitations of traditional competing solutions, offering a more comprehensive embedded real-time communication experience.


2. What Are the Barriers to Entry for the Embedded Instant Communication System? Could Other Manufacturers Quickly Follow After Your Product Launch?

The Linux-based instant communication system has high technical barriers. It operates on a low-level system and requires extensive knowledge of both hardware and software. Additionally, this is an innovative technology with no pre-existing development kits to reference. All core functionalities need to be developed from scratch, akin to constructing a skyscraper brick by brick. Our communication protocols and every single feature are independently developed, which is why it took us a decade to perfect this system.

Even after ten years of effort, we remain the sole pioneers in this field, demonstrating the complexity and innovativeness of the technology. Therefore, we are not concerned about a sudden influx of competitors.

Furthermore, we have applied for patents for each of our products. Manufacturers without R&D capabilities are unlikely to compete effectively, as building this system requires expertise in hardware and software design, app development, and cloud server support, making it difficult to replicate.


3. What Patents Has the Project Secured?

We have chosen not to patent our core technology, the "Embedded Instant Communication System," instead protecting it as a trade secret. However, we have applied for patents on the intelligent transformation aspects of each product, including:

  • Granted Patents: 2 utility model patents, 1 invention patent, and 1 design patent.

  • Software Copyrights: Several copyrights have been approved.

  • Pending Patents: 2 invention patents are under substantive examination, and 1 invention patent is in the preliminary review stage.

We also plan to submit multi-national patent applications through the PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) to ensure intellectual property protection before entering the international market.


4. What Is the Current Project Status?

According to the "Project Updates," we plan to launch our first product (a smart senior care or study desk lamp) in the first half of 2025. It took us ten years to go from zero to one, but thanks to our deep technical foundation and the highly iterative nature of our technology, the pace of new product development will accelerate significantly with team expansion. We expect to achieve rapid growth from one to ten within the next two to three years, expanding our product line into multiple fields.


5. How Are Funding Issues Managed? Is There a Risk of Running Out of Funds?

We face no risk of a funding shortage. Before starting the company, we accumulated sufficient savings to support R&D. During the startup phase, thanks to our core team's expertise in industrial control for the power sector, we undertook several short-term, high-income projects to supplement funding. Additionally, we adhere to a frugal approach and personally handle all tasks, which has left us debt-free and in a strong financial position to support product production and market launch.


6. What Is the Project's Financing Situation?

We welcome investors to join us. Although we have sought financing at various stages, investors typically prefer products that already generate market returns. Since our products were still under development at the time, we did not secure external funding.

However, the core team, led by Cai Yuelin, possesses expertise in communication electronics, hardware and software development, app programming, and cloud server operations. Cai even self-taught product structure design, enabling us to push the project forward without external funding.

Our goal in securing investment is to accelerate R&D and expand the team to bring more innovative products to market sooner. With our first product nearing launch, we have already partnered with manufacturers and distributors in China and are actively seeking global market opportunities. 8. What Is the Value of an Embedded Communication System When Smartphones Are So Common?

Instant communication systems have undergone several developmental phases:

  • Phase 1: Landlines and early mobile communication, primarily focused on dial-up calling.

  • Phase 2: The internet and smartphones popularized apps like WhatsApp and WeChat, offering diverse communication features such as text, voice messaging, and audio/video calls. However, these apps rely on advanced operating systems like Android or iOS and are limited to devices like smartphones, tablets, or smartwatches. The homogenization of functions and permission restrictions make them less user-friendly in certain scenarios, such as real-time communication for seniors.

Our Linux-based embedded instant communication system offers greater hardware flexibility, allowing it to be embedded into any hardware device and enabling intelligent transformation of existing products. The system supports advanced features like audio/video calls and voice messaging, while also adding innovative functions like group intercom. For senior users, we provide one-touch intelligent calling and messaging features, eliminating the need to select communication recipients. Furthermore, the system is compatible with Android and iOS devices, offering broad applicability.

10. Why Are Some of Your Product Images Renderings? Why Do the App and Website Interfaces Look Less Polished?

Due to limited funding, all tasks, including product design, app development, and website creation, have been handled by our core team. As a technology-focused company, we have limited experience in aesthetics and design, which may result in relatively simple or rough product appearances and interfaces.

However, this weakness does not affect the core functionality of our products, which are already fully operational, as demonstrated in our video showcases. If external professional resources are introduced, the product appearance and interface design will quickly reach higher standards.

Currently, we have launched three similar designs in our desk lamp series and plan to introduce more high-quality, fully-featured products in the future. We welcome collaboration and discussions!
